We will be releasing modules for teachers using [d0x3d!] in the classroom and parents playing at home. Our Google Groups forum is a great place for teachers and parents to share their experiences with [d0x3d!].

The mechanics of [d0x3d!] provide many opportunities to discuss computer security issues outside of a computer science curriculum.

For example, consider the following activities:
Discuss network topology; have students rearrange the network in a way that makes is difficult for the hackers to achieve their goal
Lead a discussion on the ethics of hacking: in [d0x3d!], players hack into a network to recover assets that they believe belong to them. What are the legal and ethical implications of this?
Players develop, share and use zero-day exploits to cause immediate harm to network infrastructure; have students investigate recent uses of zero-days in the news.
Before playing, have students discuss and identify digital assets important in their lives and then print out and customize their [digital asset drive] mats before playing.http://groups.google.com/group/tabletopsecurityget_the_game.htmlshapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
